Community guidelines

Version 1.1

Rural Meetup is an 18+ dating and meetup app for adults in the country and small towns. Pick an intent — relationship, casual/FWB, or lifestyle — and match with people who will actually drive.

Who can join

• You must be 18 or older. We do not create accounts for minors.
• One account per person. Photos should be of you.
• Say what you want. Intent is a match filter, not a listing for explicit content.

Photos

• Your primary photo must be clothed. That is the photo used on browse cards.
• Extra photos can be Public (clothed) or Private (adult). Private (adult) photos are not shown in search, browse, unauthenticated pages, or the public gallery until unlocked.
• Private (adult) photos unlock after you both send a message, or if the owner approves. There are no paid unlocks.
• Do not put rates or payment requests in captions.
• Anyone who appears under 18 is rejected. No exceptions for college or looking young.

What stays off the site

• No sexual descriptions in public profiles. Keep public copy dry.
• Casual/FWB and lifestyle are labels for what you are looking for, not a place to post public explicit media.
• No harassment, threats, scams, or pressure to meet or send money.
• No photos or talk involving anyone under 18. We will remove it and the account.

How we handle it

All photos start pending until a moderator approves them. Rejected photos never show publicly. Messaging unlocks after date-of-birth attestation on Age check; any ID photos staff may review are never shown on browse. Use report and block if someone crosses a line. Email abuse@ruralmeetup.com if you need to reach us off-site. We can hide photos and close accounts that break these rules. We may review reports, messages, and photos to enforce these rules and applicable law. We keep a staff audit log of that access.
